I notice a lot of BM users own the lanparte battery pinch, where is everyone purchasing from? I ordered one from Linkdelight in china last September so I'd have it before my 4k comes, it never came (I've been trying to get my refund for months, no luck), and now that I'm going to receive my 4k, I've got no battery option.

Are there any US retailers? All I can find online are China retailers, which I'm afraid to try again. Or are there any other options as convenient or affordable as this one? I'd like a similar hinged battery plate if I can't get ahold of a lanparte.

I strongly recommend against Lanparte battery pinch.
    1) The rail mount is conected to the main unit with screws that soon become loose due to battery weight
    2) The electronics inside are poorly soldered. I had my unit disassembled by a service center, and the service engineers had to repair it.
    3) It is a cheaply made device. The bolts on the battery inteface are screwed into the nuts in the main body, and these nuts are simply glued with the silicone glue.
    4) Power inputs and outputs use the same connectors. If you mix them in a hurry, you have a chance to burn the whole unit. I have done this mistake.
I would rather try Tilta battery pinch - though I don't own one, I believe it has more solid rail connection and the quality of this brand is believed to be good.

I was about to say the same. But since he was asking for the lanparte. Tilta is a better options (quality wise).

Save yourself the hassle with the lanparte. Ive heard its not so hot. Now the tilta... The tilta is nice. You can pick it up from Bhphoto. Ikan is the US dealer so its under their name.http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...ystem_for.html

I got mine from China but since you don't want to take that risk again get it from Bhphoto. Double check with them if it indeed comes with the p/d tap cable to power your camera. If not then you can buy one. I have the zacuto ptap and though its on the pricier side my other cheap Chinese dtap coating came off exposing wires on the first day i got it. (it works fine though) . The zacuto version is sturdy and quality stuff.

Whoa, thanks for all the warnings about the lanparte. I suppose I'll go with the tilta after all. They don't make a Goldmount version though do they?

What's the least expensive, yet trustworthy V-mount battery on the market? What about a charger as well?

The power U-130 v mount battery is probably the best bang for buck http://www.ebay.com/itm/POWER-U-BP-1...item338ab11a1c (thats actually my puchase that ended)

Power U- 130 battery is being used by many RED epic/scarlet users as well as many users here. I have not recieved mine as yet....i should have it by the end of the week or the beginning of next week. I know you don't want to buy from China again..however I don't see anyone else selling them. My seller (link-fortune) was very responsive and it shipped and reached my US mailing company within 5 days (i live in Jamaica so it will take longer to actually reach me). I also asked them to undervalue the package at $35 which they did , so customs will not rape me to clear it (Jamaica is crazy when it comes to that). All reports on this battery have been good. Also the one I bought already has a charger as you can see.

Global media also has some decently priced batteries but after shipping its not so decent anymore...also they require you to wire the money which is a pain in the ass IMO.

#oh and just a note link-fortune do not send tracking...which is a bit unnerving...BUT within 5 days i checked my shipping company and it had arrived.

I went with the Tilta/IKAN from B&H, as well as the Power-U battery, and I could not be happier.
