IMO, This is not minimalist. It's too much rigging.

Honestly, I love Joshís build. Itís a very clean build. Yeah itís a bit of rigging, but I donít think Iíd take on a paying gig with much less.

Thanks Bob! Appreciate that. You totally get what I was going for. Obviously, total minimalism would be the body and lens. That's it. But I meant the minimal amount of rigging for all the bits you need for a paying gig, on set, with a crew and a director which needs to see the shot from an external monitor, which means can't solely have an on-board monitor taking the HDMI feed, it has to be routed elsewhere, and then that requires the camera to be powered externally...which demands a rig, etc....

My B camera op on the Resident.

Wearing a tactical vest that holds an AB battery, Teradek 3000 Transmitter on the back and a Timecode clock.

On camera is a Tilta cage, nucleus N, BMD 5”VA and SLR magic or Veydra primes.

Two monitors makes it easy to go high / low.

I just don't get it, why BM insists on a DSLR camera style? P4K should have been basically shrunk UMP. Battery you can add on the back, fold out lcd, one mini XLR and ND, plus a small, ergonomic side handle.

That's what I was hoping for too...but we have to make the best with the cards BMD deals us, eh?
