Shouldn't be that difficult to handle the increased datarates.. 2 SSDs in Raid?

I don't get your title. It's a Sony camera, not a BM camera.

Is doing a "comparison"... but I don't think so!

2,4 k uncompressed is already madness.

Now 4 k uncompressed at 60 fps...what data rate is that? 500 MB per second?

presumably it doesn't fit in the BMC.

    A few things...

    1) As Wolf said, it's a Sony SENSOR, not a camera. No indication when such a sensor might be available in a camera.
    2) It doesn't do 4K at 60fps. Look at the chart. It does 2K at 60fps. It does 4K at 40fps.
    3) It's about 1/3 to 1/4 the size of the BMC sensor. People are already complaining that the BMC sensor is too small, so I would think they'd be none too happy with a sensor that's 3x to 4x smaller, would they?

The sensor in question not something most people would want to use in a narrative capacity, though certainly you could if you wanted to. It's likely going to go into Sony's next big update to the EX1/EX1R/PMW-200, or Sony may even consider replacing the EX-3 with a camera with this sensor the next time around.

It does 4K at a few different frame rates, the one you're referring to Barry is an aspect ratio that regular people wouldn't be recording in anyway - 4000 x 3000, which is a 4:3 aspect ratio.

The title refers specifically to the sensor's ability to capture 4K at 60fps at 10-bit. The second column is where I'm getting this information, and it's using a slightly different portion of the sensor, which is why they've separated the two.
