The new Sigma FP is interesting....it shoots 4K 12bit Raw DNG internally and it's about the same size as the original Pocket. EDIT - IT only does 12 bit 422 recording externally.
Wow cool, thanks Frank....I doubt PV could sell me one of them, but do you have any suggestions for one that's similar?
Thanks for the info, EYu!
Hi all,
I'm looking for recommendations for a EF to PL adapter - it's for my Pocket 6K, for anamorphic lenses, so it needs to be solid. Will be hopefully shooting with a set of Kowas, anyone who...
Thanks for watching, it's the Lock Circle X-Mist 1/8.
Just some lovely family strolls through the mission town of San Juan Capistrano...the size/price/image quality ratio of the camera is still so, so impressive:

SOLD
It's sad, but BMD has some great products but just seem to still lack the industry acceptance of pros...so here we are sticking our necks out for them trying to change that perception and repping...
Greeting fellow BMD fans....this Pocket 4k was only used for the past 7 months, I’m selling my beloved 4K. It performed perfectly and the size to image quality ratio is insane. Blackmagic raw is...
Nice looking product and badly needed! I personally wouldn't pay more that $100 US for it though. Best of luck with it, hope it catches on!
The pocket 4K lut is wonderful. It makes the cam look more alexa-like, greens look way more natural instead of the orangey version of greens that the camera natively produces.
I've used this LUT on my BMPCC4K and in Resolve, and the 709 Natural LUT make the camera look great in those greens that really are lacking with this camera. It's something I intend to keep on at...
That would be great, and as much as I love the new pocket, I wish it had a more of a camcorder shape, not a DSLR shaped body. Modular, with different I/O options, smart detachable and repositionable...
That's what I was hoping for too...but we have to make the best with the cards BMD deals us, eh?
Thanks Bob! Appreciate that. You totally get what I was going for. Obviously, total minimalism would be the body and lens. That's it. But I meant the minimal amount of rigging for all the bits...
Minimalist - meaning, the smallest you can go and still survive a day of shooting on-set :)
I'm loving what this little thing is serving up. My goal was to turn it into a solid but portable and all-day long run and gun build, that would allow me to keep my left hand on the focus wheel, and...
Yeah I think you're right - I just re upgraded to 6.1 and I think the Film setting wasn't checked off - thanks.
Just posted this to another thread, but I think I just discovered another 6.1 bug. Basically, there is a massive difference in contrast and dynamic range between the same shot in Raw vs. Prores. I...
Upon closer inspection, it seems the Video gamma was on and that's why my prores footage looked so contrasty....false alarm! :)
It seems with PR on in all modes, not just HD that the contrast goes way up and DR goes way down....why can't we shoot HD in full readout and have the wide dynamic range of shooting RAW? Because...
Hi all
Just updated my BMPCC4K to 6.1.....maybe it's been this way since the previous firmware, but I'm now just noticing that when I switch between Raw and ProRes, the gamma totally changes, and...
I wish they'd come out with 2048 x 1080 shooting mode....and BRAW. Was hoping this was gonna be the FW update with BRAW....damn.
I know it looks more greenish in the photo, but trust me it's definitely warmer more so than green in actuality. It's not about if I can trust it as color accurate - I wasn't expecting that. I'm...
