  • Using OpenFX plugins on Resolve 11 lite

    Hey everyone!

Just wondering if it's possible to add plugins to the lite version. I'm hoping to get film convert, but wan to make sure it'll work first.

    Thanks!

Resolve Lite supports OFX plugins. Just make sure it's a plugin that supports Resolve. Not every OFX plugin works with Resolve.

I have the filmconvert OFX plugin and it's pretty janky but does work. I think I must have an older version.

I use FilmConvert OFX in Resolve Lite 11. The only thing to be aware of is that it will not work with an installation from the Apple App Store. If you download it directly from BlackMagic it will work just fine.

The Neat Video noise reduction plugin works fine too. Just be aware that it is a resource hog and will slow your time line down significantly if you are working on a computer that just meets minimum requirements.

Agreed, Neat Video is a resource hog, but unlike Resolve Lite it can use more than one GPU! I just wish that the Red Giant and BCC plugins were Multi GPU aware also.

Neatvideo is better than Resolve's own denoiser, which needs more RAM and works only in the full version!
