Reminds me of Sark from the OG Tron. Kind of nutty that Panasonic would release a camera with a native EF mount. They may be well on their way to being relevant again if their new releases deliver. It seems like Panasonic hit the skids right after the af100, this might be a winner.

It's a great camera for sure, that Varicam sensor is currently better than Panasonic's top-line Varicam 35!
However, every time I look for other cameras, Blackmagic get jealous and release a fantastic new cam! I'm sure that very soon we will see at least a new Blackmagic Cinema camera with the 4.6K sensor for $2900

What is the DR? Same as the GH5?

It should be at least the same DR of ther flagship Varicam 35, so...14 stops.

They already stated that the EVA1 is going to have a newly developed sensor, which is not the same as the Varicam cinema cameras. They said this camera is going to have Varicam Color Science though.

If the dual ISO works around 5000 like the Varicam, I could make this my new cam. Impressive.

But that EF only mount though.....

The varicam color science is gorgeous and excellent straight outta the box. Very very attractive.

This camera looks terrific from physical appearance to its functions and features. Panasonic never fails to give new products to stay ahead of the competition. Now wonder why the company is among the best in the industry. However, it seems that the amount of EVA1 is too high and quite hard to afford. Even if it is high-end, buyers might still opt to other cameras with the same features. This new camera might sell well to big photography companies.

Seems tailor made for Canon's EF mount cinema lenses. The 18-80 T4.4 servo zoom would be a nice fit for this puppy.

Im a little disappointed that its not using the Varicam 35/LT sensor but I do hope it can match the quality. Dual ISO is just amazing, can't wait to see sample footage.

                            there is a mistake, 8000 euros aren't $7500

Mitch Gross from Panny indicated better DR than the GH5, more like a VariCam.
