This camera looks good! No damn oversharpening. I bet by NAB DJI has their own cinema cam.

Super impressive stuff. Did you see that the x4s/phantom 4 pro both have mechanical leaf shutters to eliminate rolling shutter artefacts?

So frustrated but happy at the same time!

I purchased a Phantom 4 about three months ago and I've never shot with it at 4k, simply because everything I shoot, is 50/60fps.

Now they release this!!!! Argh. I'd trade mine in a heart beat as it's got very small, but large differences... like the range, etc..

Now I have a look at the Inspire and that interests me quite a bit.

The Mavic will flood the market place and everyone will be doing drone stuff. To be able to differentiate yourself will take a little bit more now and I don't think the Phantom can achieve that.
But when I look at the price of the Inspire I start to think, that's so close to the M600 (which is, as far as cameras are concerned) very future proofed.

Has anyone got a weight for the Inspire, here in oz they passed a policy that let users of drones under 2kg, fly commercially. I don't think the Inspire will come close to that, meaning I'll need a license (another $4000).

                So happy, but so frustrated.

I didn't see you had started this thread. Oops.
I'm so blown away by that sensor. It looks like it's going to make it on to the osmo RAW later.
Man I hope BMD snatches up some of these (sensor) for the Pocket 2.
5.2k 30p 4K 60p both full RAW. 12.8 stops DR Micro 4/3, which means Speedbooster time!

I gonna invent a shoulder rig for the Inspire and get rich as sh..t :-)

You pay for something that is free, and for something you not gonna use, cause the free thing is better anyway.

Quick question, when they fly close to actors or cars or whatever -- propellers buzzing -- they ADR the dialogue and recreate the location sound in post?

Great idea Frank, I'm sure DJI will allow this to work with the Osmo just like the previous X5 RAW camera, but if you can incorporate a rig with it it will be that much better.
Like a previous poster mentioned, I see DJI releasing a cinema camera soon. Technically they already have!

Haha I was thinking the same thing about the DNG Prores licenses. The DNG RAW which I'll use is suppose to be "free", but I have to pay for it cause it's bundled with Prores which I don't use. grrrr :/

Watch the BTS...they are not flying close to the actors.
