I think the main thing to address at the moment is the sight shift towards pink in some tones, orange/yellow seems to go too red/pink.

Hearnia - could you confirm whether or not the saturation problem existed when using ProTune "Flat" with Raw WB?

yeah, I would have to agree. the pink shift in the reds is there. I couldn't get rid of it by just tweaking the white balance.

It is what has mostly so far delayed the beta release.

hey, no worries man. this is already pretty impressive! I'm amazed that it's even possible to get it matching this close. the dynamic range of the gopro footage is also better than I excepted.

4saken, could you try this one the exact same images as above, with the leather sofa?

hmm, not really seeing a big difference there with the new version

I uploaded the raw frame grabs from both files if you want to have a go with them yourself:
              BMPCC
              GOPRO

The LUT I applied was captain hooks new vibe LUT.

Many thanks 4saken, this is very helpful.

I have loaded those sample frames you shared into resolve and can see the sofa is still not correct. I think it will be a good benchmark for the next version.

nice! that back room casting couch is looking much better now
I'd say this is very very close now to the bmpcc footage. would totally work in an edit without most people noticing. amazing job Tom!

I took my quadcopter along to a get together in a park yesterday and got some footage to intercut with the stuff I filmed with my BMPCC.
Works pretty well I'd say. It's still not 100% there yet, but I also didn't spend too much time trying to match it. I'm sure with some more patience and time one could get it much closer.

Looks great! Many thanks for your continued help!

I have noticed a few slight inaccuracies in certain shades of pink, and greens tend to lack a slight amount of yellow -

If I can fix this without breaking the rest of the LUT, I reckon it is pretty much ready to launch properly.

Please do not hesitate to share more if you have it!

beta 20 and a BMCC LUT applied

                            the grade process was strictly:

                            3 nodes:

                            1 - white balance
                            2 - Input LUT (version 20)
3 - BMCC LUT (an unfinished one I am working on)

nothing else (except a bit of stabilization in premiere - sorry about that, was just doing it very rough and not taking enough care)

Looks great Tom! I'm taking my quadcopter along on my next business trip, hopefully I can capture some more aerial footage with the GoPro.
I'm still impressed how well the GoPro footage grades. The only thing missing would be manual exposure settings and a bit more control like ISO and shutter. It's a shame you can't adjust that in the GoPro settings.
