  • ND Filter Solution for 7-14 Lumix

Its annoying not being able to put filters on the 7-14....

Found a decent work-around for attaching a fader ND to the 7-14 Lumix lens. It's probably subject to light leakage at certain angles, but may work sometimes. More testing needed...

67mm filter threads fit inside of the hood for a VERY snug fit! Can be removed by slightly squeezing the hood's sides to release it.

Resolution seems to be fine with the inexpensive Polaroid ND filter! More testing needs to be done during the day, but this looks promising....

    Philip Bloom's Solution

Philip Bloom used a similar approach, although from the looks of this instragram photo he used a step-up ring. He said some gaff tape would help as well.

Any guesses as to what millimeters that step-up ring covers?

      similar but different.

The 67mm thread will fit very very snug inside of the lens hood. Well enought that I have to squeeze the sides of the hood to release it.

I have since used a small piece of velcro, turned inside-out so the soft side rests on the plastic of the lens hood, and covers the openings from light leakage. It works FLAWLESSLY!
