  • Fast 1TB Samsung SDD

Rated at 520MBs, theoretically fast enough to be used with a BMCC or BMPC.

I wouldn't buy it unless it is on the BMD recommended list. I learned the hard way with my Hyperdeck Shuttle 2 that even tho an SSD is technically fast enough, if it's not on the list, it might not work.

The items on the list are rapidly reaching their EOL dates and will be gone within a year.

I am guessing it should fit the bill, though pricepoint may not really make it worth while. We don't really need all that extra speed though the extra storage may appeal to some, though personally 30 mins raw is about where I am happy.

But imagine 4 * 1 TB drives raided for your video drive, that would be handy!

Here is a Samsung 3000MBs that connects to PCIe bus, as does Thunderbolt. now image that for video editing.

Good lord almighty! I'd love to have 4x 1.6TBS in RAID10. A guy can dream right?

Late to the game here but looking at the Samsung 840 EVO 1TB to replace the 512GB in my Sonnet Tempo Pro RAID card.

Anyone else buy these drives for editing?
