  • Best examples of pocket 4k and 6k?

I'm sorry this is a bit lazy, but I haven't kept up with much from either of the new(ish) pockets but have been needing a b-cam for my UMP.

It is hard to find the best examples from thousands of tagged videos on Vimeo. I wondered if anybody could link to their fave samples, where they think the cam/s really shine?

    Many thanks in advance!

I recently shot a music video with the p4k and I'm very happy with the results. Only the teaser is out so far, I think they're posting the full video sometime this weekend.

There is a 45-page thread on RedUser with just about as much Pocket 6K footage as there is available out there. Just start from page 15:

          http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthr...mera-6K/page15

Two that I liked from the same person:

I don't think you're going to see a significant difference in well shot footage from either camera when compressed to YouTube or Vimeo. If you are using ef glass just get the 6k. If you are using PL then the 4k with an adapter is probably better than the adapter solutions for the 6k.

If you want it for gimbal work maybe go 4k with a dedicated lightweight mft lens.

For some reason there’s a guy on Reduser spamming 6k clips for page after page.

He's definitely become a bit of a problem in many threads across that forum. I think he thinks he's being helpful but I wish he was more discerning with his choices -- we don't need to see every single search result from YouTube.

                  Thanks all.

Samuel and TeddyDem, thanks for posting your examples. Both look great.

dop16mm, thanks. IQ wise I'm not expecting too great a difference between the two so happy to see examples from both.

John and Aaron, I agree re: Rand's posts. As a former Red owner I still find myself lurking over there and while the idea of collecting the relevant videos is good, he definitely needs a more curatorial approach.

The best examples of camera footage seem like they’re really just good examples of colour use, location, camera movement, nice grading, some effort towards ‘casting’, planning, etc.

I just released a new video shot on the p4k and I have to share it here because I honestly think it looks gorgeous. I didn't do the color work on this one.

Not about look but at least to check portraiture concept... Very fast realization of "doppelganger" mythical-being vs painter idea (so at list jump over both visualization BMPC4K with Panny 12-35mm mk2 which is pretty nice in stabilization but horrible or impossible to seriously use for manual focusing... Thanks
