Did you even look at the reviews especially "Impressive but has some issues" that was added way back on 1/18/2019 before starting this thread?

Based on the specs I wouldn't be surprised if this is essentially the original e1 in a more robust housing. Gh4 sensor tech. It might be interesting if it gets ProRes, especially at that price point. Waiting for review footage.

Prores is coming when they get the license approved. Same was with the E2 model which now has Prores.

Not really, less dynamic range, no Prores, no RAW, no screen and artificially crippled so as not to cannibalize sales of the E2. Besides this is a small comany who in the past badmouthed Blackmagic on social media....They've been promising prores an RAW on the 'bigger' model for more then a year... the only 'positive' reviews I've read of the $2k ZCAM were just poor excuses to get back at Blackmagic from reviewers who seemd to hold a grudge against them.

Is the ZCzm E2 a BMMCC 4K Replacement

The ZCAM E2 4K is available on B&H for pre-order at $799. With UHD 4K and 10bit Z-log in pretty much the same form factor and features of the BMMCC and at $200 less, could this replace the BMMCC? Personally, I doubt it. Blackmagic has earn the reputation of delivering solid performing cameras, video and audio processing equipment, and a kick-ass NLE and coloring software solution. ZCAM has yet to prove itself worthy. In the other end of the vendor spectrum, is RED concern about this new micro cameras that the ZCAM E series is making them run for the door and build RED Komodo? Hmmm....

Edit: Correction - the $799 is for the E2C model.
