Yes but I think it is external.

Sigma is a big part of the L-mount standardization group and have a big investment on L-mount for their lenses. They will want you to adopt L-mount and use their lenses.

    That the "L"?

    Yet another mount.

    Yuk.

I know there's gold in glass but not my gold.

I would own a Foveon sensor camera if there were one with a m4/3 or EF mount.

Two classes of glass is enough for me.

I'm not a fan of mount adapters.

This camera has an uphill battle with me, at many more levels that I haven't mentioned yet.

The name of this thread is wrong.

Without a mechanical shutter this is a video camera that can take stills.

And probably only so so at that unless it has a global shutter.

It's unlikely that it has a global shutter or that it will do a very good job of shooting stills unless it does.

    Grrrrr..
I don't think it's going to happen they are part of the L mount association. Unless metabones does something It will be l mount or ef adapter.

You can adapt for example Sigma SA and EF mount lenses. The adapter will take any EF lens but electronic support aren't guaranteed by Sigma.

cmos im guessing, guessing it will have terrible rolling shutter.
Hopefully it will get a anamorphic mode with 2X desqueeze. Liking the idea a lot, looks like a awesome travel camera!

    They don't. From the article:

"The SIGMA fp records either raw CDNG in 8, 10 or 12bit (externally to SSD) or it records plain h.264 into a .mov container either in all-i or GOP mode. Supported resolutions include:

    3,840 2,160 (UHD 4K): 23.98p, 25p,29.97p
    1,920 x 1,080 (full HD): 23.98p, 25p, 29.97p, 59.94p, 100p, 119.88p"

I don't see where it says uncompressed. It says SSD, not SD. UHD, not 5K+

Yeah now sigma, blackmagic, kinefinity and zcam are opening up possibilities. Canon, sony, panasonic and nikon better follow up, or they will be losing a lot of clients
