  • v-mount compatibility

    Hi, i just purchased a Rayzr7 300w fresnel light with the compatible 285Wh, 29.6v V-mount battery.
I it possible that i use this battery with my UMP, or is this going to dammage my camera?
If so, i'll just use it with the Rayzr7...
    thx

Don't even want to know how much that beast of a battery cost :O

I think, to be safe, you should check with BMD.

I have the same setup. Warning! Do not use the Rayzr7 battery for powering anything else than the light. It does output 30V and that would very likely kill your camera.

It is quite cheap for what it does:

If you are based in Europe, I can recommend the Patona V-mount batteries. 12 V for sure, more than 20 will kill your camera.

I believe you might be able to if you power through a regulated output or battery plate.
