Edit; read the whole thread, and indeed it looks like it's possible, waiting for Ursa owners' tests and feedback - very exciting times!
I'm not certain but I believe anything at 4k would still require a uhs-ii card. So I don't think the old pocket cards will cut it?

Also, buy him some french fries. Hook is our inside man, and he's really pushing for awesome things at BMD. So glad they sniped him!

That's AWESOME. Thanks for the confirmation!

So not only will this save a lot of money on cards, but also maybe I won't need to delete all original footage when archiving a finished project. THIS IS A BIG DEAL.

Edit: There's a constant quality option, where more complex frames get less compression but simple ones get sqeezed more. I'm probably going to use that one a lot...

Edit: If you want to shoot 4k B-RAW 6:1 at 24-25-30fps and 12:1 at 60fps, is there any advantage to using CFast cards on the p4k? I guess no, right?

Based on the 4.5K tech specs on BMs website, BM RAW 8:1 is roughly the same size as the original BMPCCs HD uncompressed Raw.

            BMPCC HD Uncompressed Raw @ 30fps = 65 MB/s
            Ursa Pro 4.5K BM Raw 8:1 @ 30fps = 68 MB/s

So if an SD card worked on the original BMPCC for uncompressed RAW, then that same card should work on the BMPCC4K for BM RAW 8:1

In that case: hook us up with an anamorphic mode on the pocket 4K would ya.

Those published data rates are full sensor @ 30fps. 4K @ 24 fps is around 40% less data.

I have a question, since English is not my mother tongue I could misinterpret one thing. Grant Petty is showing UMP at 1600 ISO without FPN. Could braw improve UMP in terms of FPN? If yes, I am running to the nearest UMP reseller for UMP.

According to Petty it will be rolled out eventually. No timeline however.
