looks cool! good seeing you make progress on it. but wouldn't it make more sense to have the screen on the left side of the camera? so you can easily access the touch screen when you have it on your shoulder with the left hand while holding it at the top handle with your right hand? this way you wouldn't have to unmount it from your should, just slightly move it forward to touch the screen.

Awesome! Keeping that sensor cool will go along way to reduce noise.

Yes, if I can get the signal to split and add another monitor I'll put the touch on operators side and leave another one for the focus puller. That was the idea for having the monitor on that side it was for the 1st AC to be able to pull focus and access the camera. Honestly, once I decide on my settings like, ISO, RAW, Color Balance (which doesn't matter too much in RAW), frame guides, etc I tend not to change those unless the scene drastically changes. I'll adjust my T-stop which I can access on the lens. I'll have my EVF and the monitor on the other side for focus pulling. That is the idea, but always open to suggestions thanks man

Here are some better stills! I'm extending the front of the camera a little to fit a heatsink, fans to keep the sensor cool. It's not meant to look like this forever.. haha this is a transition stage while I get all of the body built in CAD. A rough idea of the future.

I'm really happy that there is a massive heatsink on there. The noise you get is from general heat from the sensor. I did some heat tests in China...

                            Wow! Just a question:
why the LCD on the other side?

The idea was to use that monitor for the follow focus 1st AC.. I'll be adding an EVF to the operators side, possibly the new one from BMD.
