  • Testing BMPCC with Tokina 28-70 f2.8 + Black Pro-Mist 1/4 (Ballet Girl)

I had the opportunity to test my BMPCC with Tokina 28-70 f2.8 and diffusion filter Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/4 and Metabones Speed Booster XL 0.64x. I really like the picture quality and skintones, I'm looking forward to test it with the new Pocket 4K.
Shot in RAW, Agfa Vista 800 LUT, B+W UV/IR cut filter.

It really has this 16mm Kodak look to it - nice

My original Pocket will still have a bright future, for some special projects.

Thank you, Frank. I'm glad that you shed light on such a beautiful lens giving such a live analog picture. Designers from Angenieux know their business.

Another video with the young ballerina Ksenia Tretyakova. The same setup but edited with the filmconvert with Ilford Delta 400 profile.

Loved it. I see one light in the frame, but could you elaborate on the whole lighting scheme?
                Thanks in advance, Snuff.

Thank you. I used 3 150W Tungsten Lights Dedolight DLHM4-300 without any modificators. I love colors I got with these lights.
One light source is drawing to the left, the second is the fill to the right of the model and one is the backlight to highlight the glare and give a direct light to the camera lens. I love the backlight.

Beautiful. I have the camera, the speedbooster, the Tokina ... I still have to find a dancer.
I hesitate to use this zoom for a documentary but when I see your result, I am excited to try.

As I wrote earlier my Tokina has focus and zoom levers. But during the first shooting, it became clear that it's difficult to make a smooth focus with the lever because Tokina 28-70 has a small stroke of the focusing ring. In addition, during shooting, it's easy to get confused about what kind of lever to pull. Therefore, I decided to remove the lever from the focus ring and put in place three silicone rings. The zoom lever remains.

Interesting. After seeing your post, I bought the Mamiya lens hood.
As my concern, I prefer to work with a follow focus.
Where can I find the Agfa Vista 800 LUT? Looks very artistic.
