NOTE: This thread should be a sticky in the footage section. Great idea Nick!
This is my favorite. This looks "cinematic". This looks like a baby Alexa footage. Man, this is the reason why I want the BMCC.

I guess the correct response, when people talk trash on the BMC in favor of 8 bit compressed DSLRs, or their overpriced cousins, is to smile and agree with everything they say. Who the hell needs more competition, really?

It's more a matter of what is available and what is acceptable for your intended distribution. This is not BMC (it is 8 bit 4:2:0 AVCHD with a little bit of Twixtor slomo) but this is a very far cry from hideous.

Consider this some yang for all the yin in here...Please delete it if it is inappropriate to the thread but we really should keep it real. Does the BMC look better? Undoubtebly. Does this look very good? Absolutely.

Man.. I have to say some of this footage looks so remarkably filmic that I almost regret cancelling my pre-order and getting a Scarlet!

This is material, I shot for one of my documentations. But I could not resist to take a bit of it and bolt something together.

Incredible Frank! The opening shots have an ethereal feel...they seem slow motion...

They look as if they've been slowed down by 50% with FCP/CS6s Slow/Duration technique, and I'm just being honest, they aren't very appealing.
