  • 'Shogyo Mujo' - Siggraph 2015 - BMP4K

Shogyu Mujo was an art installation at this year's Siggraph 2015,
I shot it with the Blackmagic 4K camera EF, edited and finished it with Resolve 12 beta.
Post worked out well no major hiccups with the new software.
    Hope you enjoy it.

And people say the 4k is horrible in low light. Looks good man.

        Thanks guys!
Low light isn't too bad on the 4K camera with the firmware revisions.
If the scene is exposed properly, it shouldn't be a problem in post.

The BMPC is the most unfairly underrated camera of the Blackmagic range, if you can shot in RAW the camera rocks, is not noisier than BMPCC and the dynamic range is on par as well (with the RAW HL recovery function).

            Agreed Max,
While the 4K camera does have it's quirks regarding internal power & audio,
In terms of video imagery, it easily compares to cameras costing several times its price.
I really like the motion captured through the global shutter and the flexibility of raw.
