  • New Webseries Trailer shot on BMPCC

    It's called Banana Squad. We had a huge backlight in the background we had to deal with, was hoping the camera's DR could deal with it, but it was totally blown out for the most part. Rest of the shots look decent using a Canon Speedbooster and Sigma fast glass.

    It was graded with a slight yellow tint to emphasize the theme.

    You may want to grade stuff toward blue, so that the yellow costumes pop more.

      Thanks, it's just the trailer, for the web series, hoping to find a distinctive look. We tried a really yellow tint, but people complained it was too yellow. I'd like to accomplish the green look in the matrix, but only in yellow.

          Thanks for the tip. How would you go about cross processing in Resolve or Premiere? Obviously back in film, you would dip in different chemicals.

            The 3rd or 4th tab in the curves section is hue vs hue that is where I'd start, you may need to use qualifiers or mattes if you can't isolate the tones you're looking for with just the curve. I just read your post again, green look in "The Matrix" not the color matrix. Good Luck.

              Share a dng, maybe some users here on the forums can help you nail the look you are trying to achieve .
