Yes, the website is a bit... err ...thin.

But here is more detailed information: http://www.newsshooter.com/2014/04/02/introducing-the-andra-motion-focus-system-making-the-impossible-possible/

$7900?? ouch.... I wouldn't call that affordable.

And that's without the motor I guess.
It's a rental thing, like most high end remote FF

oh, well its cheaper to higher a good AC!

I doubt rental would be that bad, depends how many units are available and the demand.

Be interesting to know how accurate it would be when used in conjunction with MoCo.

Snap Focus is pretty insane, very interested...... Would need some of the best AC's to even try to compare, I for one have been in many instances where I could use this type of focus.

Great post!!!

A good AC will cost you at least $500 a day, and even they blow a focus rack here and there.

that is the worst looking website i've seen in.... oh wait, every other site i see is crap looking, i guess i'l just file it under 'no'

Not including catering and transportation :D

Given the technology used (a few magnetic? distance sensors, a tablet and an interface to a FF motor), I'm sure there will be a Chinese/Eastern Europe knockoff within 6 months or so... after all, the $15k MöVI has $3k clones by now...

seriously, that is spectacular
i love to begin to see the precise system.

This is seriously my favorite thing I've seen so far at NAB.

its plenty cool, but for smaller producitons, it's still far more involved than slapping an FF unit onto the camera. As you could say about 4k raw workflow not being for every production, the same could be said for this type of advancement

12,000 USD for that? no way its meant for small budget filmmaking.

Rather get the hocus focus.

That's really f*****g awesome :O :O :O
The price is awesome too ^^
