I'm looking a small (hand sized) dimmable LED light with ample output and the option of different color temps. (Either with filter or color intensity/bulb change)
Something in the $500 and below is what I'm interested in

Thanks!

My first choice would be the new F&V light http://www.fvlighting.com/store/lighting/small-panel.html I haven't used this particular light but I'm thinking of ordering it, I love the Z96 but the color is a little off, these new ones are color switchable with a high CRI and good brightness. I also have been using these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FL7LLZA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AG1FKBNAQKSKJ for quite a few gigs. They have great intensity and are color switchable with dimming.

I have this and love it: http://riftlabs.com/ The only problem is the light needs to be diffused a bit. Don't let the size fool you, this thing is super bright! Plus you can control the output, color temp, and give it any hue you want with the iphone app.

I have a new favorite light. The fiilex 360 (http://www.fiilex.com/products/P360.php). Just wrapped a 3 day shoot in a coal mine and this was my go to light. It is tiny and packs a big punch, even used it outside to provide edge light and fill. It has a high CRI, accurate color which is switchable and dimming from 10% to 100%, and I run the whole thing off an AB battery for the full day. It's also weather resistant and has some great accesorries. Oh, and the barn doors actually work.

Dracast is the best low price plus high cri LED.

Dracast is the best low price plus high cri LED.

Can you list reasons? What lights have you compared with? We've been looking at the Dracast lights to replace our existing 1x1's as a soft source, the fillex are replacing tungsten heads though, and we may get our a couple of our Moles retrofitted with LED as well.

V mount option, 93CRI, and the cost of the 160 LED model, is the same as FV's new high cri z96's, and cuts well with Lowell LED's that cost 3x as much.

I'm a tungsten man, but Korea is a small more cramped place then back home. LED's are becoming more important, especially as Korea has nearly moved entirely over to economic fluoro's and LED's, it just makes sense for me personally to invest in a decent LED kit. I still prefer tungsten on skin, but it's all +/-
