Hi All,
this is the 1st short I have ever written, filmed and edited.
I am having some serious audio sync issues, i export audio to mix in protools but every time i relink it the timing is a marginally off and is completely out by mid video. (I tried exporting and re linking the exported file without altering and get the same results)
I also have to learn resolve thus the CC is not done yet (just added saturation in fcp7).
I assume in resolve I can also track the mug and bell to eliminate the reflections.
Any comments to help me improve are appreciated.
cheers

Sigma 14 3.5 & 30mm 1.4
Office was practical
Kitchen was daylight from the window.

In my experience the worst thing about doing shortfilms is a achieving a film polished, without any big fails. You did It, so congrats!!!

Just one question, what lenses aperture did you use in the kitchen scene. IMHO the office looks really filmic but the kitchen have a more videoish look, maybe to much DoF. Did you have to close the f/stop?

Thanks
I used the Sigma 14mm, I didn't have a film body with me so the f/stop was locked at 3.5.

Interesting story, it was on the edge of creapyness the whole time ;)

One thing I thought that could have been better is if the lady moved around the house, what girl stands in one place when talking on the phone? :)

That guy was awesome. He could seriously play Hannibal Lecter, lol.

Wouldn't have known it was a first effort if you didn't say so. Well done...

If you still have this audio issues, PM me, maybe we can sort it out.

The DUC is a good forum for protools/fcp sync issues, also you can try creative cow.
