I got a lot from this Resolve 9 tutorial series by Alexis Van Hurkman:

I believe he wrote the User Manual that comes with Resolve 9...

Yes, I can recommend the premium version of the grade-along. Already through all the basic/core training and getting started with the gradealong now. He grades flat Alexa footage there that's why I think it's very good for bmc as we will get a "similar" flat baseimage

looking at the davinci user manual that comes with the BMC - 615 pages! Hum a duh hum a duh......going to be drinking early tonight....

I would recommend the Tao Grade Along and also the FXPHD Davinci 9 with Warren Eagles.
Warren Eagles gets you up and running the fastest, Tao color is more in depth and, well, it's a grade along :)
So you get more hands on practice doing a short film,
and you learn how to stay in the same color realm/atmosphere (80's slasher) for the whole project.
