Where are you located? Is this metric or imperial?

The lens is in Arizona, USA and it's focus ring is marked in both imperial and metric distances. The metric numerals have been blackened out with a Sharpie but I'm sure they can be cleaned out - I did a small test cleaning using a Q-tip and 91% Isopropyl alcohol and it seemed to do the trick but there are probably more appropriate cleaners to use.

do you know how big of an image circle it projects? How much beyond 12.52mm?

This lens will just barely cover the micro 4K sensor which is about 13mm horizontally, beyond that you'll get a hard vignette from the front lens housing at full wide.
