This is NOT my video and I have no connection to it. I just saw it posted on FB. This video looks very good to me in terms of lighting and especially colour.

DP is Tor Rolf Johansen . Some info he posted about the video:
"FOOL'S GOLD" This is a personal project (not affiliated with Blackmagic Design) that I shot for Aaron Carter on the URSA Mini 4.6K EF a couple weekends ago. Tech notes: Shot all in RAW 4:1 and graded in DaVinci Resolve 12 by colorist Robert Crosby at Coyote Post in Los Angeles. Optics: Rokinon XEEN and Schneider Xenon primes. Batteries: Anton Bauer 150's. For wireless HD transmission to video village, we had a Teradek BOLT 600, which was great because it allowed us to insert a 709 LUT for on set viewing of the BMD Film/LOG output. For media we had a couple 256GB LEXAR 3400X CFast 2.0 cards which performed flawlessly. And for camera support we used an Oconnor 1030D head and carbon fiber sticks, and a Dana Dolly with curved and straight tracks.

No disrespect but if you're gonna shoot in a studio with an all white background just get a 5D mk 3 and call it a day.

Not by most standards.
There is more on show on some daytime music channels and on the red carpet at movie awards.
In the UK the BBFC would most likely award this a PG rating.

haha, I thought the same. I'm not really blown away by this footage. Honestly, the more I see of the 4.6k footage, the more I'm disappointed.
I'm still trying to find 4.6k footage that actually looks filmic. Everything I've seen so far looks more like something shot with a DSLR. It lacks the mojo that I'm getting out of my BMPCC. It just all looks too clean and sterile.

Has anyone run some 4.6k footage through Impulz LUTs? That might be more the look I'm after.

I think this is the nature of 4k. That "clean" look is the result of higher resolution.

I immediately noticed this when I added the NX1 to my collection. I can put both the BMCC and the NX1 footage through the same FilmConvert LUT and I can also get a pretty close color match with Andrew Reid's LOG LUT for the NX1, but the difference in resolution is still there.

You want more cinematic? I think one needs to put some significant diffusion filters in front of 4K material, or put a set of Zeiss Standard Speeds on the camera.
Actually it IS the LENSES that have really 'made' the 4.6k footage I've seen.

With the BMCC and BMPCC we traditionally endeavor to maintain sharpness and clarity - whereas with 4k I really think you have to "work" the sharpness and clarity in order to get the results you want.

Must be mostly related to the glass then. I work in VFX and I regularly get 4k footage to work with and I've never seen stuff that looked so DSLR like compared to the 4.6k footage I'm seeing online.

4.6K looks nothing like DSLR footage what are you guys looking at? Had it not been brought to our attention that this was Mini 4.6K. I guarantee your first thought would not have been this was shot on a 5D lets be serious. This looks like most big budget music videos that are shot Dragon Epics/ Scarlets and Alexa without the huge budget!!! Credit to the Director and DP. Also The Revenant-esque medieval trailer that was shot looked very cinematic and theatrical nowhere near DSLR. And the promo shots JB shot for BM were DSLRish? lol Really? Did you not see Franks WWII short? Everybody is entitled to their opinion but comments like this is what makes this forum comical to say the least.

It looks decent, but far from anything I would marvel at.

The opening shot of the eye is nice, the shot were he walks in from the corner looks nice. Everything with the white background just doesn't do anything for me.
Overall, it's a decent music video. However, if I was looking for something to sell me on the 4.6k, this wouldn't close the sale.

Someone said it has a DSLR look. I agree, mostly for the white background shots, though.
