View Full Version : Rokinon 14mm Wide Cine Lens VS Canon 24-105 L Lens (BMPCC)

Rokinon 14mm Wide Cine lens or a Canon 24-105 L lens? Both seem so tempting.. The Rokinon for the width and optical quality, and the 24-105 for the zoom and also great reviews of sharpness and quality.

I understand these are 2 totally different lenses, but I'm looking for one of these 2 to get going with my new pocket.

If you are only getting one of the two then hands down get the canon. Not because it is necessarily a better lens, but because if it is your only lens, having a zoom will be extremely helpful seeing as you'll have various focal lengths instead of just one.

Although, one thing to keep in mind is that the canon does not have manual aperture. Unless you have the metabones BMPCC EF speedbooster, you won't be able to adjust the aperture on the canon glass, which may be an issue.

I cannot vouch for any of these lenses, but they are just some options as far as Micro 4/3 zoom lenses go:
